People on the ground
Miguel Lunceford
Born and raised in Lima, Peru, Miguel grew up surfing and exploring the country’s legendary coastline, including Chicama during his high school days. A lifelong waterman and former professional sailor, he has spent extensive time at sea aboard everything from traditional schooners to large cruising sloops. An early foiling enthusiast, his experience spans kite foiling, wingfoiling, tow foiling, SUP downwind foiling, parawinging, and foil assist. He re-engaged with Chicama in 2018 with his foil SUP and rekindled his interest in this special wave.
Built on trusted relationships with Chicama Boutique Hotel management and industry leaders Armstrong Foils and Foil Drive, Chicama Foil Club was created from a shared vision: to provide an exceptional, turnkey foiling experience in one of the world’s most remarkable destinations
Val Rosati
Val is the heart and soul behind the guest experience at Chicama Foil Club. She coordinates every detail of our camps—from pre-arrival planning and accommodations to local logistics and personalized support—ensuring each guest can focus on what truly matters: riding the waves of Chicama.
Originally from Brazil, Val is a longtime foiler and former Ironman triathlete with a passion for travel and adventure. Splitting her time between the United States and Peru, she understands the excitement and challenges of traveling to a world-class foiling destination.
Her goal is simple: to make every guest’s visit as smooth and enjoyable as possible.
Dillan Dallesandro
Dillan is the onsite manager for Chicama Foil Club. Whether you’re joining a camp or interested in renting foils, he’ll help you along the way. He came to Chicama from Hood River, Oregon, where he managed the demo and lessons center at Big Winds. He lives in Chicama for the full season and knows the local conditions well.
